If you love someone why the hell do you push them away? Why don't you just make it work? Ain't the pain worth goin' through, 'long as you try. People come and go, and you don't think a damn thing about it. But why let that one person slip away if you really care? You keep sayin' no, it ain't gonna work you. You're you, I'm me, we ain't ever gonna change ourselves. It's for the better. You keep telling them they're better off. Hopin' that you can just wake up and forget all about them. When one of them comes along that makes you want to just keep on goin', why the hell do we try to avoid it? Maybe it's because you just don't know how to have it any other way.

How does that damn song go? Why does it always rain on me? Well, why does it always rain on me? Until there's someone who comes along, telling you that they actually like the damn rain. The person you turn to who's the strong one. You'll turn around and they never break down. And if they do, all you can do is sit there with them, and be the strong one for them. That person that you switch places with. Like a damn see-saw. Strong person on one end, and weak the next. A person you share almost everything in common with. Someone you've gone through what seems like everything with. And maybe they're not your person. But they're your person that you just never wanna let down.
